Six trucks, two dispatchers, calls going to voicemail
The problem
A plumbing and HVAC company running six trucks. In summer they couldn’t get to every call, so calls went to voicemail. Someone with a burst pipe doesn’t leave a message, they just call the next company on the list. Quotes from the website sat about five hours in a shared inbox before anyone saw them, while the ads that paid for them kept running.
What we built
A text now goes out seconds after a call drops to voicemail: “We’re dispatching a tech right now. Is this an emergency or routine service?” Most people answer it. Calls route by ZIP and job type, so an emergency furnace call in Big Sky goes to the on call tech’s phone and a routine quote in Belgrade goes to the office. Every web form gets a reply saying it came through and when someone will call.
What happened
Web leads get an answer in about a minute instead of five hours. The missed call texts bring back around eight emergency jobs a month. They did it without hiring anyone.
